Black and white photograph of watercolour that should be attributed to Nellie Christmas Pensioner’s Tenet near the Causeway 1902 (over 1904?), Signed M? Christmas over another signature. _ The Colonial Eye_ research cards, AGWA.

M. Christmas is Martha Christmas who was not an artist. She was although the mother of three WA artists, Ernest W. Christmas, Ethel Christmas and Nellie Christmas.
The title and date suggests subject matter common to Nellie Christmas who was active during the dates above and whose work was included in The Colonial Eye exhibition. It cannot be Ethel Christmas who changed her name by marriage to Mrs. H. F. Ross in 1900, ceased painting, and moved to Bunbury.

Suggest this entry be merged with Nellie Christmas and M. Christmas entry be deleted.
