Henry Hughes was a professional photographer and perhaps a painter who with James Hickford, produced a number of decorative transparencies on the occasion of the Duke of Edinburgh's arrival at Melbourne in 1867.

He may be the Hughes who, in partnership with the signwriter James Hickford , produced a number of decorative transparencies for Melbourne buildings on the occasion of the Duke of Edinburgh’s arrival at that city in 1867.
