Pennyx Saxon is a descendant of the Yorta Yorta (Victoria) and Palawa (Tasmania) people. She is a painter who has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Deakin University, Geelong and a Master of Art from RMIT University, Melbourne.

Her work, according to the 2006 Tribal Expressions book is “metaphorical and political and explores Indigenous identity.”
