Olive Burt was the daughter of Septimus Burt and Louisa Fanny n_e Hare. She exhibited bookbinding with the West Australian Society of Arts in 1912. She married Irwin Carlton Burges in 1918. They lived on “Irwin House” station which he farmed after his elder brother was killed in World War I. Olive had a busy life as a country wife on a large property. They had two children.
