It is assumed that Mr Elworthy was a photographic agent. In 1854 he advertised a range of photographic equipment from his shop in Pitt Street, Sydney, and offered lessons to purchasers.
photographer(?), photographic salesman, tailor and hatter, advertised the sale of a range of photographic equipment for both daguerreotypes and ambrotypes from his men’s clothing shop in Pitt Street, Sydney, in 1854 and offered lessons to purchasers. It is, however, likely that he was acting as an agent for a professional photographer.
