Muttaburra born artist, writer, curator, educator and academic lives and works in Brisbane.
Completed Diploma of Creative Arts (Painting Major/Literature Minor),(1978-80) Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education, Toowoomba. Studied Diploma of Arts (Photography Major), (1983-84). Involvement in 80s ARI scene was as part of a group of young artists who chose to stay—rather than leave—to create visual arts infrastructure in Brisbane.This collaborative activity manifested in the strategic management of artist-run initiatives and spaces, in particular, the creation of That Space, the Queensland Artworkers Alliance (QAA later 'Artworkers’) and eyeline Magazine.
