A. Blitz worked as a professional photographer in both New South Wales and Queensland in the 1860s and 1870s. He was in partnership with fellow photographer W.J. Liddell in Sydney before relocating to Bowen, Queensland.

professional photographer, was in partnership with W.J. Liddell at 396 George Street, Sydney, in 1864-65. Later in 1865 he was working at Herbert Street, Bowen, Queensland, but closed this studio early the following year. In 1877 he was taking photographs at both Gympie and Townsville.
